Ms Seepo uses a collage technique in the development of her designs. Using specially selected feathers, fabrics, stones, sequins, beads and trimmings, she allows their colors and textures to mix together naturally. Her creations are wearable works of art, and may also be displayed as wall hangings. Each mask is lined with soft felt backing for maximum comfort and has a hanging loop for display. Patrons are to be assured that no feathers from tropical birds or endangered species are ever used in creating her magnificant works of art. Care of Mask
It is best not to display the mask in direct sunlight.
An occasional light fluffing with a hairdryer on a low setting will remove dust and restore freshness. Dyed feathers are not colorfast.
Mask Features Ties: Each mask is designed with matching soft cotton ties which
fit comfortably and will not slip in the hair. A lorgnette (below) may be substituted for the ties.
Lorgnettes: Lorgnette is a French Term for handle or stick. Any mask may be permanently mounted on a decorative lorgnette
to be carried in the fashion of the Renaissance Masked Balls.
Display Base: Display bases are available for any mask
either with ties or mounted on a lorgnette. The base is solid oak with a 6" diameter, painted and decorated
to match the mask and optional lorgnette. The lorgnette fits snugly into the base and is removable for use.
A T-bar stand is available for masks with ties.The bottom of the base is covered with felt.
Hang Tags: Each mask comes with a Gypsy Renaissance hang tag with a description of the artist and care instructions for the mask. |
